Acronis Backup & Recovery 11/11.5: "Failed to connect to the storage node"

Remove Acronis Storage Node from Acronis Management Server and add it back to fix the issue

This article applies to:

  • Acronis Backup & Recovery 11.5
  • Acronis Backup & Recovery 11

Symptoms

On an attempt to browse a managed vault you receive the following error message:

Failed to connect to the storage node

Cause

The Acronis Management Server certificate has gone corrupt. This certificate is required for connection to the vaults.

Solution

To fix the issue, please do the following:

  1. Remove the Acronis Storage Node with the faulty managed vault from the Acronis Management Server;
  2. Then add the Acronis Storage Node back to the Acronis Management Server. This will fix the certificate. All of the vaults from this Acronis Storage Node will be automatically attached back.
